Functions
1. Hypoglycemic effect
Gymnemic acid can increase insulin sensitivity, promote insulin secretion, inhibit gluconeogenesis, and thus exert hypoglycemic effects.
2. Reduce blood fat and lose weight
Gymnema sylvestre extract can interact with some glycolytic enzymes in the body to reduce blood fat.
3. Inhibition of sweetness and anti-caries effect
Gymnema sylvestre extract has the effect of inhibiting sweet taste, and the active ingredient for inhibiting the sweet taste in the leaves of Gymnema sylvestris is saponin, which can cause loss of taste, fructose, sucrose, stevioside, xylose, there was no statistical difference in the inhibitory strength of eight sweeteners, and the average inhibition rate was 77%.
